Virtual research environment
VRE- Chisima is a research workshop that introduces what a research cycle should include. Attended 28 July 2010 and some of the interesting points i like was the issue of intellectual property and funders, Metadata standards and access points for researchers. The workshop was mainly to develop gateways which researchers can adopt and apply in their research environment.

Is it possible for you to share the cycle?
ReplyDeleteThe research cycle has several steps which can be follwed, the researchers can identify those that they think will help them in conducting researh on a specific area, some of this steps include: Identifying a research area, Identifying existing literature, Disemmination and artefacts, Idenfification of funders, Real time communication, Scientific workflow, project management and others. This were some of the main points researchers need to consider when conducting research, What we mainly did is a brainstrom session on what exacltly is relevant under each on those steps/stages and how they are applicable to research.
